For the last 2 months we have been busy little worker bees buzzing around preparing for the Freedom Walk and as Volunteer Coordinator, I was lucky to have had a front row seat for all the behind-the-scenes action. It blows my mind how our Event Coordinator, Sheila Cardenas, is able to take a bunch of ideas and bring them into reality every year. Her leadership is integral to the Walk’s success and this year was very successful. Around 500 people attended and we raised $45,000! Read More

That’s right, [free-them]’s biggest event of the year is happening September 14, 2013 and everyone is invited! If you’re an abolitionist in the GTA, you won’t want to miss it. Enjoy a ceremony given by several distinguished speakers involved in the fight against human trafficking  followed by a peaceful 4km walk through downtown Toronto. Be sure to grab a purple [free-them] T-shirt and join the purple wave.
